After eight years in the same studio-space I am moving out of my shared studio and into a little solo-room somewhere a bit closer to our flat. However eight years is a long time, longer than I’ve lived anywhere as an adult, in fact, and as a result things have mounted up.
So this sunday, at the community space in Forest Hill Library (strictly between 12-4pm) I’m going to try and sell off as much of it as possible. I’ll have loads of paintings and drawings as well as books and some zines, a lot of art supplies and some general odds and ends. Prices will be LOW (for most things).
I realise this is annoying email to receive if you live literally anywhere else in the world but, if you follow me on instagram, there will be some stuff for sale online in the coming weeks too!
If, by some miracle, you are in London, well, I’ve planned you a LOVELY day just to justify the trip South (you’re welcome). First hit the independant ceramics market in Peckham at 11am when it opens. Get yourself a lovely cup! Then hop on the 197 bus to Forest Hill, get off by the station and either go left to St David’s for coffee/lunch or nip under the underpass and go to The Pantry (get yourself some of the good olives whilst you’re there). Sadly my favourite cafe (aga’s little deli) is shut on sunday. A few of the forest hill shops should be open (I think Bunka and Cub & Pudding might be? Better Things is open till 3) and then head up to the library (it’s next door to the pool). The BUY ALL OF MY PAINTINGS PLEASE. Finally take yourself on a walk to Horniman Gardens to shout your successes over the lovely view of London as the sun fades. Maybe hit the museum if you fancy it? Definitely visit the alpacas.
Doesn’t that sound nice?
Just a flying visit today, I’ll be back once I’ve moved with something more interesting. In the meantime my ten week picture-book writing course (for paid subcribers) is now finished. So if you sign up now you’ll get them all at once! I have a couple of extra bonus posts coming. I just need to get these boxes packed first….
More soon.
Lizzy
Thankyou for the sale, it was lovely!
